About the role
You'll build and scale the API infrastructure that powers 50,000+ developers building on blockchain. At Tokra, backend engineers own critical systems handling millions of requests daily across 15+ blockchains, directly impacting the reliability of Web3 applications worldwide.
What you’ll be doing
Design and implement high-performance API endpoints serving multi-chain data to thousands of concurrent users
Build and optimize node infrastructure for Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and other EVM chains
Own reliability and uptime for production systems processing 100M+ requests per month
Implement rate limiting, caching, and load balancing strategies for blockchain RPC endpoints
Debug and resolve complex infrastructure issues across distributed systems
Collaborate with product to design new developer-facing APIs and features
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
About you
5+ years backend engineering experience with production systems at scale
Expert in Golang and distributed systems architecture
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
Familiar with blockchain nodes (Geth, Erigon) and RPC protocols
Strong understanding of API design, caching strategies, and performance optimization
You ship fast, debug efficiently, and own your systems end-to-end
Comfortable working async in a remote environment
